Why Aren’t Robots Making Our Lives Easier?

Since we now have the technology to automate much of life, why aren’t robots making our lives easier; earning money for us allowing us to live lives of freedom and luxury?

Soon, robots will take many more roles than they already have, leaving people looking for alternative employment or even venturing into entrepreneurialism and self employment.

Just looking at the automated transport industry alone will see many people out of work when they crack the automation of driving. Uber would be a likely candidate for self driving cars; putting tens of thousands of people out of work.

Surely then we should be looking for ways to automate our own incomes without having to physically turn out to work every day and trade away our valuable time. One commodity which is limited is our time; yet we live our lives as if it will never expire.

The previous moments of life aren’t in the office, (well perhaps for some). But many would rather do away with their jobs and focus on spending their precious time with friends and family, travelling and enjoying their lives to the fullest.

The problem isn’t that there isn’t an alternative to working away our lives, it’s that we are indoctrinated into the struggle. This is the biggest challenge! Our thinking is keeping us trapped in the “working hard for money” paradigm.

Why Aren’t Robots Making Our Lives Easier – Too Expensive?

So why aren’t robots making our lives easier? Robots are expensive and those who use them are the large corporations right!? How can the common person use automation to make their lives easier? We already have automated vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers. Automated dishwashers and washers and dryers work for us already. But we should also be using automation to make a living too! How is this possible?

Since the dawn of the internet people have been looking for ways to learn how to make money from selling things online. Not all have been successful. But for those who have figured it out, they are able to live pretty much how they choose; with no boss, employment and the ability to thrive financially from selling online. They live wherever they choose and work from a laptop!

These people have figured out how to really live in the 21st Century!

Why Aren’t Robots Making Our Lives Easier – Using Systems And Technology To Work For You

the rise of digital employment
The rise of digital jobs and entrepreneurialism

Why aren’t robots making our lives easier? I’ve always had a deep suspicion of the status quo! It seemed embroiled in anger and fear and there was always a certain amount of jealousy too; particularly whenever someone was doing something different. I was a bit of a dreamer I’ll admit! At 24 I met a stuntman and decided it was the dream career. Later, I figured out that it may have a certain shelf life! I wasn’t focused on becoming a stunt co-ordinator so it left me rather without direction.

I downloaded an ebook from the internet about making money on eBay one day and realised this was going to be my future! With this simple transaction, I realised that someone had created a product (a small, digital book), put it on the internet, and automated the process of selling it. From that moment I never stopped thinking about it and the huge possibility that it held.

I decided to copy the idea of the ebook and wrote one about how to become a stuntman. It didn’t go down too well with the stunt community and definitely affected my career. But at the time I wasn’t getting any work anyway so I figured I had nothing to lose!

Later on I put myself on a course to help me learn marketing and sell other ebooks I had written. I also wrote one on becoming a TV Extra. This quickly led me to reevaluate what I was doing. I turned my attention towards affiliate marketing instead. Affiliate marketing offers referral programs to make money. You refer a customer; someone else delivers the product.

I took a few of these types of courses, all promising better results than the previous ones! See digital profit course review for some of the courses I took.

I stuck at affiliate marketing for years despite many setbacks. I was luckily able to get intermittent work as a stunt performer, juggle a few other temporary jobs and work online. The online work was paying the least for a long time, I must say. But I held out that it had the largest potential of all the income streams I had developed. I just hadn’t figured out how to get it working yet – so I told myself!

Figuring It Out – A Successful Online Business Model

using automation to earn income streams online

I later found a different business model and a community of online entrepreneurs. This was a massive help but I wasn’t out of the woods just yet! Despite having massive scepticism, I was able to purchase yet another course and move forwards. By this time my enthusiasm was at a massive low point.

But this time I was able to actually meet people in person, and this gave me massive confidence in what I was doing.

Of the many pitfalls in learning how to generate an income online, one of the biggest ones is not getting help. It’s easy to struggle on alone and go down many rabbit holes which lead nowhere. Choosing the wrong products to promote, the wrong kinds of traffic generation methods and spending time unwisely were some of the problems I encountered.

To make your laptop work for you, you need to build systems which you can automate and scale up to a global audience. This requires a good business model and some pretty serious patience!

Entrepreneurial Mind Shift

The entrepreneurial mind shift is another major hurdle for anyone going into an online business. If you’re coming out of employment, you may be used to working for someone else, regular pay checks and the ability to take holidays. Working for yourself has it’s own luxuries, but you definitely need to generate some traction or you’ll go under financially pretty quickly.

shifting mindset to entrepreneurial life

If this happens you’ll be back at the office pretty soon.

Shifting from an employee mindset to an entrepreneurial mindset means taking full responsibility for your outcomes. Every action you perform (or don’t perform) has an effect, (or no effect)! With a job you can make mistakes and still get paid. With entrepreneurial life, there’s more at stake. But there much more to gain too!

Getting results quickly with an online business takes investment too. I didn’t understand this when I first started. I thought I could write a few blog posts and the money would naturally follow! Sadly this wasn’t the case. I learned the hard way!

Accepting that you’ve got some baggage from employee land is a must. Entrepreneurs need to drive their business. Employees can coast for years and still get paid!

New Age Of Entrepreneurialism

More and more people are feeling unfulfilled and dissatisfied with their roles, jobs and careers. The answer to to retrain our thinking and the way in which we work.

The technology now exists to build income streams from your laptop which are completely independent of a job, boss, or place of work. You can live anywhere and work from a laptop if you know what to do and how to do it!

No longer is building an online business just for the techy “geeks”! Anyone can learn how to build an online business and benefit from automation and systems and strategies that can work for them around the clock!
