With micro niche affiliate marketing, you create content to find visitors for free. Building an income from the internet takes time and isn’t easy and there’s various routes to achieve it. Paid marketing is undoubtably an easier and quicker route. But building free traffic has always been something I’ve been inspired by.
With micro niche affiliate marketing, you create content which gets found on Google, and other search engines. People come to your website and sign up to your offers. You can then suggest various affiliate products to them via email and bingo, you make money!
But how to you start this process and how reliable is it?
Micro Niche Affiliate Marketing
This website “autopilot money making software” is a niche website. The “money online” niche is however incredibly competitive. So it’s a tough nut to crack. Hence why it’s built around a more obscure keyword like “autopilot”. You can read how I built this site in my article create free website and earn money.
With micro niche websites, the key is to find a topic or interest which floats your boat and build content around it. If you’re passionate about something, you’re much more likely to pursue it for long enough to have a successful blog. The best micro niche for blogging is one which you’re passionate about. Micro niche blogging topics can be almost anything. Topics such as making money online, health and fitness, weight loss and dating though are pretty competitive.
A micro niche is a niche within a niche. For fitness for example you could choose a very defined topic such as “chair yoga for the elderly”, or it could be hand exercises for guitarists. Getting more specific in your niche is useful for two main reasons:
- It helps you get clear about your audience
- Your content is more likely to rank on Google since there’s less competition
Choosing Products
Affiliate marketing is how you can monetise your affiliate site. By choosing the right product for your interest, you’re more likely to make sales. If you get a mismatch between your visitors who like your content and the product, you won’t make any sales.
So choose products which you, yourself would really want; since your target audience is likely to think and act like you. This is true only if you’re choosing your topic around your passions, which is recommended.
You can find products everywhere online in almost any niche. Just do a search for “garden hose affiliate program”, and you’ll likely find something:
You can also find products to promote on sites like Clickbank.com, JVzoo.com and click2sell.com
Sustaining Your Interest Over The Long Term
Sustaining a blog over the long term without an interest in it is pretty difficult. Even if you follow something you’re passionate about it can be tough. But blogging about something you don’t give a s”*t about is painful. For starters you’ll have to research everything you write about. I did this for a website about harvesting mushrooms. It was painful and eventually I gave up on it!
You’re also going to have competition too, whatever niche you find. So to overtake that competition in Google’s search rankings is going to be a challenge. If you don’t create a useful resource around your topic, Google will know too by the way people interact with your content. So it will be marked down in the search engines and you’ll get less visitors.
So it’s a good idea to find a topic or interest which you love. Otherwise you’ll struggle maintaining the necessary effort to succeed.
Micro Niche Affiliate Marketing – Turning Passion Into Income Online
The exciting thing for me with micro niche affiliate marketing is turning a passion into an income on the internet. What’s more, if you succeed with a niche website, you’ll have free traffic and not have to pay for marketing. This means sales are 100% profit!
Your first job is to decide on your topic and build a site. See how I built this site here. Get into a habit creating content on a regular basis and keep going. Link back to your articles in as many ways as possible.
To set up monetisation on your site, you can simply use affiliate links and banners from the program you decide to use. You should also get an autoresponder which is an email delivery and collection service. An autopilot email marketing service is an important part of monetising your micro niche affiliate site and definitely worth investing in. It lets you collect subscribers who you can keep in touch with about the products you’re going to offer.
Email marketing works because it lets you communicate with your website visitors long after they have left your website. If you don’t get one, you’re going to be relying on people landing on your site and instantly purchasing a product; which is hard to achieve.
Micro Niche Affiliate Marketing – Review Sites
If you want to keep your expenses down completely and not invest in an autoresponder, your best bet is to build a review website. With a review website, your visitors are very targeted. They are usually looking for a review for a product which they are going to buy. They just want to learn something to reassure them that they are going to get what they want. Then they will often purchase.
If your review is the last thing they read before making a purchasing decision, they will use your affiliate link to actually buy the product and you’ll earn a commission.
The problem with a review site is you’ll need to have access to many products and it’s harder to get noticed among all the competition.
Creating “Hooks” For Your Visitors
Ideally use a “hook” to get people to join your email list once they land on your website. This could be an ebook, a video series or some kind of free downloadable product. I use a few hooks such as my ebooks and I offer a free video series about building an online business.
Your hook should be something of value which is clearly useful and attractive for your visitors. In exchange for your product, your visitors will give you their email address. Then you can continue following up with them giving them value through your emails and build more trust over time. When your subscribers know, like and trust you, they’ll be more likely to purchase something you recommend.
